The Price Is Right

Quite simply the most successful gameshow ever created! It began its life in the US back in 1956, with FremantleMedia taking it over in 1996.

The Price Is Right continues to be a runaway success in 33 countries right around the world and in 2008 was still the number one daytime gameshow in the US with a peak audience of 6.9 million viewers.

In the programme, contestants are invited to ‘Come on Down’ from the studio audience and then have to guess the correct price of normal, high street consumer goods. Winnings are big and the atmosphere is electric, with other audience members shouting encouragement.
