Wolf Bauer
CEO, UFA Film & TV Produktion
Wolf Bauer is the Chief Executive Officer of UFA Film and TV Produktion.
In this capacity, he oversees all of FremantleMedia’s activities in Germany, managing seven subsidiary production operations including Grundy UFA, Grundy Light Entertainment and teamWorx. He is a member of the FremantleMedia Operating Board.
Bauer was promoted to CEO of UFA Film and TV Produktion in 1991 and developed the company to become Germany’s largest producer of TV content. In 1992, he joined forces with Michael Murphy, now President of Worldwide Drama for FremantleMedia, to form Grundy UFA, the nucleus for the highly successful German serial drama production company.
From 2002-2003, in addition to his responsibilities as CEO of UFA Film and TV Production, Bauer assumed the role of CEO, Continental Europe for FremantleMedia.
Prior to being appointed CEO, Bauer was Producer and Executive Producer for UFA Film & TV Produktion.
Bauer started his career, after completing his studies in journalism and communication at the universities of Munich and Berlin, as a journalist and producer for several German political television shows.
