CHINA TAKES TO THE STAGE WITH KID’S GOT TALENT ON TENCENT VIDEO

8 June 2018

FremantleMedia China, in partnership with Syco Entertainment, today announces the launch of Kid’s Got Talent on streaming service Tencent Video in China. Sponsored by Wyeth, the series will be known locally as Extraordinary Kid’s Got Talent and will premiere on Tencent on Friday 8 June. This spectacular show is dedicated to miniature marvels under the age of eleven, providing them with the perfect platform to demonstrate their act without any form of competition or judging panel.

Action-packed and highly entertaining, Kid’s Got Talent strips away any competitive element to focus on amazing stand out performances delivered by children from across the globe. Featuring an uplifting mix of remarkable new stars combined with familiar cheeky faces from past Got Talent editions, Kid’s Got Talent will capture your heart as these adorable boys and girls prove that anything goes – as long as it’s not too grown up.

Vivian Yin, CEO of FremantleMedia China said: ‘There are some incredibly talented children all over China and we are thrilled that Tencent Video will be showcasing all of this star quality with Kid’s Got Talent.  Got Talent is a brand that reaches audiences worldwide and we are very excited to be bringing our kids version to Chinese audiences with our partners Syco Entertainment.’

Abi Doyle, VP International Productions for Syco Entertainment said: “Got Talent is the biggest TV brand in the world and time and again proves that extraordinary talent can be found at any age. We are delighted Tencent is bringing Kid’s Got Talent to China”.

Zheng XiangLin, the Vice President of Tencent said: ‘Kid’s Got Talent is a top rated global youth talent show with strategic support from FremantleMedia and exclusively brought to you by Tencent Video. As a family-friendly variety show hand-picked for our platform, this program is bound to be filled with outstanding performances from the kids. I believe this collaboration is just the beginning. I hope that we can continue to join forces in the future. The possibilities are endless.’

The Got Talent format was created by Simon Cowell and is co-owned by SYCO Entertainment and FremantleMedia. It is the world’s most successful reality TV format watched by an estimated 900 million people worldwide. There are 70 local versions across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle-East, Africa and the Americas. Kid’s Got Talent was first produced in Italy in 2016 for TV8.
