Welcome to FremantleMedia International (FMI) one of the most successful distributors of television, digital and home entertainment content in the world.
We’re very proud of our diverse catalogue, which represents titles from FremantleMedia’s in-house teams and the world’s foremost third party production partners. Our programmes reach international audiences in over 200 territories, thanks to an unrivalled network of on-the-ground sales teams working across the UK, EMEA, Asia, Australia, Latin America and North America.
It’s our ambition is to be the partner of choice for producers; we provide each title with its own tailored campaign, and use the strength of our powerful international sales network to roll it out internationally. Increasingly, our teams are working with emerging platform owners to make our shows available whenever (and wherever) audiences want them.
Every year, we invest in hundreds of hours of new and original programming across all genres through acquisition, co-financing and co-production partnerships so that we can offer broadcasters an eclectic mix of enthralling entertainment shows through to edge-of-your-seat dramas and laugh-out-loud comedies; from mesmerising documentaries, to enticing lifestyle titles.
Highlights from this year’s catalogue include Deutschland 83 a major new production from the creators of Generation War, set to become the first German-language drama on a US network, and No Offence the much-anticipated series from the pen of Paul Abbott (Hit and Miss, State of Play, Shameless); The Seventies, the latest mesmerising documentary instalment from EMMY® Award-winning producers Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman, and Mark Herzog, and Dogs: Their Secret Lives, which combines hidden cameras and scientific research to reveal what our dogs get up to when we’re not there. Childhood friends Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty team up once for a compelling new series of Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club, while we also have two genre-defining comedies from award-winning executive producer Ash Atalla (Cuckoo, The IT Crowd, Trollied): Top Coppers a spoof police series featuring two bright new stars from the UK’s comedy circuit and People Just Do Nothing a hilarious mockumentary that follows the team behind pirate radio station ‘Kurupt FM’. And FMI’s catalogue wouldn’t be complete without its hallmark Talent shows, which once again features one of the UK’s most successful television programmes, Britain’s Got Talent. This year we’ve also added Planet’s Got Talent which showcases the most incredible acts from across the globe - from Indonesia to Iceland, Bulgaria to Brazil and China to Chile.
Just as important as the breadth of our slate, is the depth of our relationship with producers and talent. FMI prides itself on the strength and longevity of its partnerships with some of the industry’s most respected programme-makers, such as Syco, The Weinstein Company, Corona Pictures, Fresh One Productions, Origin Pictures and Roughcut TV. More recently, FMI has fostered ground-breaking relationships with emerging digital content creators including Young Hollywood, WIGS and Lisa Kudrow’s Is or Isn’t Entertainment.
