FREMANTLEMEDIA KIDS & FAMILY ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH BUTLINS FOR DANGER MOUSE

FremantleMedia Kids & Family has announced today that the world’s greatest secret agent, Danger Mouse, has a brand new, two-year mission: to thrill and entertain holidaying families at Butlin’s iconic seaside resorts.

Beginning at Easter 2017, Butlin’s Danger Mouse show will run twice per family break for two years, making an impressive total of 724 shows in all. With an average audience of 1,500 per show, around one million Butlin’s holidaymakers will enter the high-action, high-comedy world of the effortlessly cool animated hero, his loyal but hapless sidekick Penfold, and their assorted allies and adversaries.

The 50-minute production, following a newly created storyline, will feature all the favourite characters from the show, dancers from Butlin’s; and a unique stage prop version of the Mark IV Danger Car.

And Butlin’s guests can immerse themselves further into Danger Mouse’s daredevil world with episodes of the programme screened across the resorts, and merchandise available in Butlin’s shops.

A huge global success that originally ran on ITV from 1981-92, Danger Mouse blasted back to TV screens with a gadget-packed, gag-laden makeover in September 2015, co-produced by CBBC and FremantleMedia Kids and Family, and was an instant ratings and critical success. Licensed to thrill a 21st century audience, the programme returns for a second series of rib-tickling, villain-foiling animated adventures in 2017.
