Talkback Bolsters Developments Team for Global Expansion

Talkback (part of FremantleMedia UK) Managing Director Dan Baldwin has announced a restructure in the indie’s development team, which sees an expansion to the role of Head of Development Juliet Denison as Talkback seeks to exploit the global development market.

Juliet will continue to drive and generate comedy entertainment ideas in the UK and will now be responsible for overseeing Talkback’s development operations in the US and UK, managing and developing the creative relationship between Talkback and the FremantleMedia teams worldwide.

Juliet will work closely with FremantleMedia Director of Global Entertainment Development, Rob Clark, to develop a strategy to help deliver FremantleMedia’s global ideas and formats to worldwide broadcasters.

Clark said: ''I am excited to have Juliet working with me at the heart of the company’s development strategy, her experience and passion for programming will undoubtedly reap rewards, and I am sure we will have some fun along the way. That’s the double whammy in my book.''

To support this growth in Talkback’s development department, Simon Craig (formerly of Zeppotron) has been hired as Development Executive to work alongside current Development Executive Ollie Brack. Brack will also be instrumental in on-going talent relationships within the Talkback development structure to help attract the best onscreen talent to Talkback’s portfolio of ideas.

FremantleMedia UK CEO, Sara Geater comments: “Led by Dan Baldwin, Talkback is becoming renowned for its work with high calibre on and off screen talent.  By bolstering Juliet’s role, and attracting new joiners such as Simon, Talkback can continue to develop and deliver the best in comedy entertainment.”

Managing Director of Talkback, Dan Baldwin said: “We felt that Juliet’s excellent work in the UK market deserved a bigger platform…and the entire world seemed big enough. We are looking to work alongside FremantleMedia North America much more closely and Juliet will be one of the main drivers of this creative relationship. In short, broadcasters can expect pitches, with our Talkback brand values at the core, both sourced here in the UK and from the whole of FremantleMedia worldwide, in both the short and long term. This can only be a great thing for all concerned.

“We also absolutely delighted to have Simon on-board. He will bring his development expertise into an already super strong development team. He and Ollie will dovetail excellently together.”
